Help us grow the sport of Canoe Polo and develop a strong paddling culture throughout Victoria

We are very excited to be undertaking this journey of developing the sport of Canoe Polo throughout Victoria, and by the fact that you are on this page, that means you might feel the same way we do! We aim to provide the opportunity for everyone to try our exciting sport and that means we want to keep the cost as low as possible for participants. The programs that we want to run throughout Victoria require some ongoing costs to run replacing equipment that wears out over time, or travelling to regional locations. If you feel you would like to assist us in covering some of those costs to allow us to operate our programs at a minimal cost to schools, communities, and participants we would gladly welcome any donations to the Academy!

As a non-for-profit organisation, any profits that are made cannot be used for personal gain so rest assured that your money is going to be used solely on developing canoe polo and reinvesting back into the sport. Any additional proceeds that are not directly required for program delivery will be used to support the VYPA Academy, as we mentor and coach the next generation of athletes to compete on the national and international scene.

We have partnered with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) to offer Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status on all donations made to VYPA through the foundations page. All donations over $2 are tax deductible, donating is easy and hassle-free through the foundation’s website, and all payments are secure and private. Click on the button below to be taken to the VYPA fundraising page on the ASF website.

If you are not able to contribute financially to our organisation, that’s ok! We understand the varying financial responsibilities everyone has in this day and age. However, if you still feel you would like to help us in any way possible there are a few other ways that you could help out:

  1. Volunteer with VYPA. We are always looking for extra pairs of hands to help out at events or with our various programs. You can find out more about volunteering here.

  2. Donate any old equipment. If you are an “old legend” in canoe polo or a general hoarder of equipment (like us), you may have some pieces of gear that no longer get the love and attention that they might deserve. We always welcome donations of canoe polo equipment to use in our various polo programs. We will happily help organise collection or postage for any items if necessary, and if your equipment needs some TLC there’s no need to worry! Our team are very experienced in repairs and maintenance on all forms of polo equipment. If you would like to donate any old equipment please head to the Contact Us page and send us a message or email and we will be in touch promptly!

A huge thank you to those that have donated equipment over the past 12 months, we have been able to provide a number of players within the state with boats, paddles, helmets, PFDs, and more, to ensure that they have been able to continue to paddle over the COVID19 restrictions period during 2020.
